Start with the weather, not the look

Manual or motorised?

If your blinds span a wide opening or you have more than two or three of them, motorisation is worth every dollar. One press of a remote and the whole area closes up before a storm hits. Add a wind sensor and the blinds retract themselves when gusts pick up, protecting the system even when you are not home. Motorised outdoor blinds also remove the number one reason blinds fail early: people forcing them up and down unevenly by hand.

Quality shows up in year five
