Helioscreen’s Cocoon is a minimalist slimline cassette folding arm awning, designed to deliver complete protection of the fabric and folding arms in a fully enclosed cassette. It offers an understated architectural finish well-matched to any contemporary facade.
Operate the Cocoon via motorisation or hand gear to extend the folding arms over your coverage area, then retract neatly back into the slimline cassette casing when not in use.

Sun and wind sensors add a touch of luxury — sun sensors automatically extend the awning when the sun comes out, while wind sensors trigger the awning to retract when winds become too fierce, protecting it from potential weather damage. Especially handy for commercial spaces where convenience matters.
Helioscreen puts your convenience first, down to the last detail. Choose from manual operation via hand gear, motorisation with switch control, a handheld Somfy remote, or a complete automation system — every retractable awning is custom made to order.

Despite its compact form, the Cocoon delivers complete protection of the fabric and folding arms in a slim, fully enclosed cassette — just 145mm × 230mm — for an understated architectural finish that suits any contemporary facade.
All components are designed to guarantee smooth operation paired with extreme durability, tried and tested throughout heavy and demanding loads. The Cocoon is locally manufactured in Sydney using high-quality aluminium profiles combined with high-strength cast and drop-forged components for optimal safety even under extreme loads.
MULTIFLEX ARM SYSTEM
Engineered strength for Australian conditions
The Cocoon features a specially developed Multiflex power band consisting of four tear-resistant steel cables sheathed in ultra-flexible plastic material, protecting components from corrosion.
It applies the force of spring movements in the arm sections and ensures proper tensioning of the awning, while still allowing flexibility during strong gusts of wind.
Driven by a Somfy motor backed with a 5-year guarantee, the Cocoon carries a category 5 Beaufort wind scale rating and can withstand winds of up to 39km/hr.
