THE BRIEF
A Fitzroy cafe wanted to retain its open-air feel in summer while creating a sealed, heated space for winter trade.
THE PROBLEM
Winter trade dropped 60% as outdoor seating became unusable. The owners considered an enclosed extension but couldn’t justify the cost or downtime.
THE SOLUTION
Channel-guided zip-track screens in clear PVC with mesh panels for ventilation. Fully retractable in under 90 seconds, transforming the space from open courtyard to sealed winter room.
